I always find it a pleasure to upgrade my PCs. Just recently, I’ve installed a new graphics card and added a little RAM to my unit. It’s the best way I know how to blow my money – giving life to what could have been a deteriorating system. I know there’s little I can do to stop my PCs from eventually deteriorating that’s why I try to make the most out of them while they are still functioning properly. To enhance my daily computing experience, I’ve recently added a second monitor to my desktop. Along with that, I also purchased the Doublesight monitor stand (DS-224STA).
I purchased the monitor stand a few weeks ago and so far I think it’s great. It has a sturdy built which is very important since I don’t want my monitor screens to topple off the desk. The monitor stand has been an extremely convenient addition to my workspace. It helps me multitask and run several applications without developing a stiff neck at the end of the day.
I find it great to work using two monitors while keeping my workspace clean. The monitor stand is an awesome space saver. It leaves enough space for my other stuff which is nice because I tend to keep a lot of stuff around whenever I work. The stand also has the capacity to mount two monitors at equal levels with one pole. I don’t have to constantly shift my eyes every time which saves me from getting dizzy while I work. This thing is also built with a flex design as with most other types of stands. It allows me to adjust my monitors independently. I can swivel, pivot, or tilt one monitor while the other remains steady. I find this feature useful for presentations. Usually when I’m doing a presentation for a small group, I do away with using projectors since they take too much time to set up. Instead, I can just tilt one of my monitors so my audience can get a view of whatever it is I’m showing.
I should also add that my monitors are huge, just imagine the standard type of large screen LCD monitor you often see in techy outlets nowadays. Picture two of those mounted on a sturdy pole and positioned in a desk stacked with papers and various stuff and that is probably how my workspace looks like.
Using two monitors at once has done so much to increase my productivity.
